About Me
Introduction
Who Even Am I?

Great question! Hi, my name is Inanna and I’m an avid reader and writer of romance. I graduated from Kutztown University in 2019 with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in English, and I’m currently finishing my MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing at Emerson College. I’m writing my first novel, a queer romantic suspense/thriller with a happy ménage à trois ending. As much as I love (and despise) writing, I’ve come to find a, dare I say, bigger love for editing.

Some fun facts are I love K-pop, anime, gaming, and crocheting, and I use exclamation points way too much.

Why work with me?
  • I’ve done three publishing internships, all heavily focused on editing.
    • I’ve interned with Brink Literacy Project, a non-profit devoted to increasing literacy rates in underserved communities.
    • I’ve also interned at two literary agencies (The Purcell Agency and Creative Media Agency) where I examined thousands of queries and wrote a handful of reader’s reports, pitch letters, and editorial letters.
  • I was a part of the Writers House Mentor Initiative where I learned the ins and outs of publishing from professionals.
  • And if none of that means anything to you, then I’m just a girl who’s determined to help you level up your story the best I can!

As a writer with terrible anxiety, I understand how scary it is to put your work out there. What if your editor doesn’t see your vision? What if they’re rude? And most importantly, what if they try to change the story you’ve worked so hard to create? Understanding those fears, I can assure you that I work with you to create the story you’re meant to tell.

Who Will I Work With?

Well…anyone who writes! While my focus is on indie authors, specifically BIPoC and queer authors, I definitely won’t refuse you services if you’re interested in working with me. I specialize in romance, but I also do mystery/detective/crime fiction, and thriller/suspense. I’m more than willing to work on other genres, but I’m not a good match for horror/gore, sci-fi, or high fantasy.

I will offer a sample edit of 5 pages (note that they will be paid for if we decide to work together) to determine whether we’ll be a good fit. If I don’t believe things will work between us, I’ll do my best to help you find a better match. I won’t leave you high and dry.

Sound Good?

I’m far from perfect, and I will never claim to be. I push myself to learn every day and I have an absolute blast doing it. I’m currently taking developmental and copy editing courses from the Editorial Freelancer’s Association and have access to handfuls of paid training and workshops that I partake in every day.

I’m not always going to get the commas right, and maybe I’ll miss a mistake or two, but I promise I will give your story 100%. Until you’re satisfied, consider us partners. And if that sounds good to you, head on over to the interest form page.
